In true Disney fashion, your ride on Phantom Manor doesn’t stop when the ghost of Melanie Ravenswood guides you back to the land of the living. Turn right at the exit and you’ll find Boot Hill Cemetery, named, like most cemeteries in the wild west, for the gun slingers that died with their boots on.
In addition to the owners of the Ravenswood estate, many Thunder Mesa townsfolk are also buried here. Far in the disntance, a dinosaur skeleton can be seen etched onto the rocks.
Coyote howls lend their voice to the already eerie background music and if you listen closely, you may even hear the faint sound of a heartbeat. Perhaps the very same heart that waits for her groom-to-be after all these years?
