Located in the heart of the Disneyland Hotel is Café Fantasia, a cocktail bar and restaurant, perfect for relaxing after a long day of memory making.
Themed to its’ namesake Disney classic, Café Fantasia’s walls are adorned with sheet music and character artwork from the film. Comfortable couches and high backed chairs surround musical instruments and lend an air of relaxed sophistication to the area. And, if you time it just right, live piano music will serenade your evening nightcap.
The bar takes center stage here where cast members can shake and stir just about anything you ask for. Specialty cocktails make up the majority of the menu (and rightfully so, they are original and delicious!) but small bites, snacks and treats are available throughout the day and night as well.
Highly recommended for those wishing to imbibe are the Marnier cocktail (champagne, Grand Marnier and brown sugar) and the Fragol’Rock (1664 Premium, mojito mint syrup, lime and mint leaves). Also, it’s called Fragol’Rock and who can pass up an alcoholic beverage that pays homage to a beloved TV classic?
After you’ve order your cocktail of choice, you are served a trio of snacks – peanuts, olives and what I can only assume are Doritos.
Sandwiches, salads, pasta, cakes, cookies and the like can all be found on the small food menu, but the star of the show is by far the Mickey waffles. Yes, you read that right: Mickey. Waffles. Or better known as Mickey Waffles!! Warm and delicious, this Disney fan favorite is served with whipped cream, jam and Nutella – they are everything, period.
While a bit on the pricier side, Café Fantasia is a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Whether you stop by for an end of the day drink or a tea time treat, the atmosphere and hospitality of the cast members are sure to deliver that extra bit of Disney magic each and every time you visit.
